The 5th North East Masters Classic

Masters M/F Partner Comp  $500 for 1st Place in EACH Division!!!!

 

This is a 1 Day Individual Masters Competition for those who believe that their best competitive years are ahead of them, not behind them.

This Competition will Sell Out. We are only taking 100 teams TOTAL. So Register ASAP

Where: CrossFit 508, Plainville, Ma

When: Sunday September, 16, 2018

Time: 8AM - 3PM (Running like Clockwork)

Cost: $150 per Team

Shirts: All athletes will receive awesome Baseball Shirts

Divisions:

2 Person Teams (1Male + 1Female)

Ages (35 - 42), (43-50), (51 - 59) , (60 Plus)

Division is decided by the average age of the 2 athletes.  

Example: A guy of 72 with a a gal of 49 would have an average age of 60.5. This would put them in the 60 Plus Division. 

Each Partner's age is determined by how old they are on October 16th, 2018. 

If your average age is mathematically on the split, for example, 45 yr old + 40 yr old = 42.5 Average Age then you may determine which division that you want to compete in (35 - 42) or (43-50).

 

 

REFUND POLICY: Until 10 days before the event....If you can no longer participate please send an email to DawnMarie@Crossfit508.com. If there are wait-listed participants in your same division, an exchange may occur, and in that instance you will be refunded for your forfeited spot.

ABSOLUTELY NO EXCHANGES or REFUNDS WILL BE MADE AFTER SEPTEMBER 5th @ 11:59PM.

Weights & Standards:

Basically, If you can handle the most of the RX weights and movements in the CrossFit Open, you will be good to go.

WODs will be challenging and will include some higher level skills and weights appropriate for Competitive Masters Athletes.

There isn't a Scaled division BUT we have designed all WODs to be widely inclusive. So, even if you are not a high level competitor, we invite you to compete and Give It Hell!!

WOD 1:

10 minute Atlas Stone Ladder

5 Atlas Stone-Over-Shoulder

5 Atlas Stone Squats

50 Double Unders

10 Atlas Stone-Over-Shoulder

10 Atlas Stone Squats

50 Double Unders

15 Atlas Stone-Over-Shoulder

15 Atlas Stone Squats

50 Double Unders

20 Atlas Stone-Over-Shoulder

20 Atlas Stone Squats

50 Double Unders

Etc…S-O-S & Squats continue going up by 5's, Dubs stay at 50

Atlas Stone Weight:

Divisions (35 - 59): 95# / 65#

Divisions (60 - Plus): 65# / 35#

 

  • Teams may split up the work any way that works for them.
  • Only One athlete may work at a time
  • Athlete may chose how to hold their stone during the squats…On the shoulder or Baby Carry

 

WOD 2:

We won’t tell you the details just yet but here are the broad strokes.

 

In 15 minutes, you will get 2 Separate Scores

For score #1….

  • You will be running.
  • You may or may not be carrying, pushing or pulling something
  • You will be splitting the work with your partner
  • You will rest while your partner works

 

For score #2…..

  • You will be lifting.
  • You will each be forming a 5RM.
  • Both 5RM’s will equal your 2nd score

 

 

WOD 3:

Think Barbells and Gymnastics….Weights and movements will be released one month before the event but the actually WOD will not be released until the morning of the event.
